International Trade
The National Fruit Show are delighted to be hosting the Department for International Trade who will make themselves available during the Show to talk to UK growers about the international market and potential export opportunities. One to one individual meetings can be booked by growers wanting to explore export opportunities over the coming years. This is excellent news for our sector and we are expecting a great deal of interest”.
The Prime Minister, Theresa May, has made it clear that international trade (be it with the EU or the rest of the world) will be a key priority of her revamped government. Technically, while it is still in the EU, the UK’s trade policy is still conducted at the EU level. However, the UK will start to have informal talks with a number of partners regarding future trade deals.
UK growers attending the National Fruit Show will also be able to register and book online, one of the sessions with Michael Salmon, International Trade Advisor, UK Trade & Investment. Michael has helped businesses in the South East of England succeed in an increasingly competitive, global economy.
