The National Fruit Show 2015 Nut Judging took place yesterday on Tuesday 20th October, with record numbers of entries the Kentish Cobnut class was won by PJ Nicholls with a score of 90 points. A Cobnut is a type of hazelnut traditionally grown in Kent. They are harvested in their green state form mid August and with brown shells and husks by mid October. Any other variety of Cobnuts was won by JIB Cannon and the Walnut Class was won by James Witchell.
