The Top Fruit Storage Day will commence with Prof. John Price, Master of the Worshipful Company of Fruiterers who will talk about the organisations Awards Council. Simon Hinks from Sainsbury will highlight their 20by20 plan followed by Andrew Lewis from SysEnvir who will explain the principals behind their Project BEESWAX.

The afternoon session will begin with a presentation from Dr. Mike Garratt, University of Reading on insect pollination and apple quality followed by Ross Newham from EMR explaining the role of the Produce Quality Centre and East Malling Research Centenary.

Dr. Emma Skipper and Dr. Robert Saville from East Malling Research will present findings on Sweet Cherry Quality in the UK food Chain and an update on the storage rot trial.  The day will close with Prof. Chris Atkinson, National Resources Institute talking about the importance of fruit dry matter.
